The Accelerator is a 65,000 sf commercial building at the center of the Highlander neighborhood in Omaha, NE. The Accelerator is a “beehive” of activity centered on education, art, recreation, technology, commerce and social entrepreneurship with innovative programs, select non-profits, startups, co-working space and other social ventures clustered around shared interior and exterior open spaces. Tenants include Metropolitan Community Colleges, Creighton University, Hardy Coffee Company, the Dining Room, Whispering Roots and the University of Nebraska-Omaha. In addition, the facility contains the Venue, a 250 person event hall and an outdoor performance space and a park. A partnership of Brinshore, Purpose Built Communities and Seventy Five North Revitalization Corporation, Accelerator is a vital phase of the multi-phased, 36 acre Highlander project.
