Location: Chicago

Prairie Park was built as a joint venture with the social service arm of the adjacent Church of The Good Shepherd to address the shortage of affordable family housing in Washington Park. The attractive, red brick masonry development includes 56 units in three buildings, each with central heating, air conditioning, eat-in kitchens, and wall-to-wall carpeting, plus shared laundry facilities, a community room, play lot, patios and dedicated on-site parking. The project, which was shaped by strong community input and the support of local stakeholders, is adjacent to a new public transit superstation. Prairie Park won the Chicago Association of Realtors “Good Neighbor” Award in 2003.
