Villard Commons

Location: Wisconsin

Type: New Construction
Use: Residential Rental, 43 units
Cost: $7.4 million
Status: Coming 2020

Villard Commons will be a beautiful, new, mixed-use building marketed to Milwaukee’s working families and families with veterans. The four-story building will comprise 43 spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, and feature great amenities including a community room, a fitness center, management offices, and a ground floor commercial space containing a coffee shop or small restaurant. Constructed with quality construction materials and sustainable features, the site's design will incorporate fiber cement siding, brick, thermal rated windows, Energy Star appliances, storm water management, native plantings, permeable pavers, and other energy efficient features. Situated on a half-acre parcel at 3611 - 3633 W. Villard Ave in the Old North neighborhood of Milwaukee, the proposed site for the Villard Commons development occupies a currently underused and neglected section of the Villard Ave. commercial corridor. The vacant lots and dilapidated buildings at the site have a negative and blighting influence on the neighborhood as a whole. Villard Commons will not only return the sites to productive use, but will be a catalyst for reinvestment and renewed development efforts neighborhood-wide. The Villard Commons development is a joint venture of Brinshore Development and Index Development Group.
