Mr. Larkin joined Brinshore Development in April of 2017. Before joining Brinshore, Mr. Larkin was a Project Manager at MidPen Housing Corporation, a non-profit affordable housing developer in the San Francisco Bay Area. At MidPen, Mr. Larkin managed all facets of developing affordable multi-family housing, including community outreach, entitlement approvals, environmental approvals, financing, design, construction monitoring and lease-up.
Prior to joining MidPen, Mr. Larkin managed construction loan closings at Citi Community Capital, where he authorized the release of over $350 million for the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing units throughout the country.
Mr. Larkin’s career in affordable housing began right after college when he served as a New York City Urban Fellow and was placed with the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). At HPD he worked with private developers on the disposition of publicly owned land for the construction of housing for low-income families. It was at HPD that Mr. Larkin learned the importance and absolute necessity of providing clean, safe, and high quality housing for all people.
Mr. Larkin received a Masters of Real Estate from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies with a Minor in Economics from Morehouse College.
