This unique facility in Zion, Illinois provides 20 apartments for victims of domestic violence and their families, helping address an acute shortfall in this sector of specialty housing. ‘A Safe Place Foundation’ provides supportive housing services to residents, including case management and counseling, after-school programs and tutoring for children who live in the development. The units are keyed to low-income families, with two units set aside for families earning no more than 30% of the area median income, two set aside for those under 50% AMI, and the remaining units for those earning under 60% AMI.
